Around. Ok. Here is some thoughts I had recently.
Fake.
The most horrid word I know.
I can't stand it.
I can't stand the people who are it really.
It seems like almost everyone in my life could be defined by it.
People constantly trying to be something they're not.
People trying to convince themselves they aren't what they are.
I try not to mind because some people just don't want to be how they are.
I just don't understand why, is it really that bad?
Is being yourself horrible?
Does it hurt other people to be yourself.
Even if it does hurt others, doesn't it hurt yourself even more than that?
The self-conscious people, don't you lighten up around some people?
Why can't you be like that all the time?
The sexually permiscous people.
Isn't one good enough, that can't make you feel good.
The ones who always smile.
We already know you hurt, so why are you hiding it?
You don't have to make it look like it's always alright. Sometimes it just sucks.
The complainers. Is it really that bad, why are you making it seem worse? Things aren't really as bad as they seem.
The ones others don't notice.
Don't you want someone to see you? You are there.
Why not make others see you too?
We act like so differently than what we are. Why though, people want to know us for us. They don't want to see you as the stereotypical kid who blends in, the loud kid across the room, the kid who hates life, the hick child from the boonies. We might resemble those people, we could look like them, sound like them, we don't have to be them. So why do we try so hard to assimilate to what they want us to not be?
You don't have to be like everyone else.
Be yourself.
